I am so tired of these moral idiots who speak out against the war or the president but don't want to suffer any consequences for it. (To be clear: speaking out against the war or the president is not the moral idiocy in the above statement.) To quote the always useful Dr. Johnson: "Every man has a right to utter what he thinks truth, and every other man has a right to knock him down for it. Martyrdom is the test." It's only courageous to exercise free speech rights when you expect consequences and speak anyway. To the best of my knowledge, Susan Sarandon, the Dixie Chicks, Tim Robbins, and Barbra Streisand, not to mention Noam Chomsky and Robert Fisk, are all still free on their own recognizance.
